Kate and Lucas met in Brazil while working as journalists, and their wedding day was the perfect mesh of both West Philly and Rio De Jainero. They wed at the Woodlands Cemetery, before the West Philadelphia Orchestra led them on a carnival-style parade to the block where Kate grew up. It seemed like half the neighborhood spontaneously joined the mile long parade through West Philly. Every element of their wedding day reflected and honored their personalities, relationship, and community.
